Overview
Loricraft are the Rolls Royce of cleaning machines - Their product range has significant practical advantages over competitors - The most significant being the quietness of operation - this may not sound major but sitting beside many machines while they clean a record is noisy and soon becomes intrusive.
They are also one of the only cleaners to clean a single groove at a time as the machine tracks through the whole record - this translates into a more thorough cleaning operation and arguably is more gentle on the record than the conventional method, which sucks inside a felt pad located across a large area of the record.
The motors are continuously rated, unlike some of the competition where the motors get hot and are not really suited for continuous operation.
The PRC3 is a fully professional record cleaner used by record shops, collectors, and discerning audiophiles world-wide. It has a large, very quiet pump which is mounted externally in its own box. This can be placed up to a couple of metres away, even in a cupboard for almost silent running. This is usefull in re-mastering studios. The de-lux version has real wood veneers in Maple, along with a lid.
This double box design has long been considered by a large number of users to be the "state of the art machine". It can clean 16 inch diameter 78 rpm discs and one was used to prepare Bing Crosby recordings for their award winning transfer to CD using one of our 401 machines. Larger diameters can be cleaned where this is specified when ordering.
The PRC4 offers all the same features as the PRC3. However the vacuum pump is more powerfull. This means that on a really dirty record it would clean the record in a single pass rather than maybe having to do it twice.
The PRC4 is the most popular model, and hundreds were sold in the last 12 months. A recent machine was constructed for the cleaning of 20 inch records.
The PRC6 has an even quieter vacuum pump than the PRC4.
