Introduction to Isolation Products

We have auditioned numerous isolation products over the years - many of them make differences to sound quality but are not always up to the claims and reviews. In this area especially reviews do very little to quantify or compare the huge choice of islolating devices on the market. Rather than offering everything under the sun with little or no guidance we offer only the performance leaders that actually deliver the goods - these products really do work wonders and outperform the competition at 3 times the price by a considerable margin.

Ringmat Isolating products

Ringmat offer a variety of isolation devices. The cork domes are usually the most effective but one would be hard pushed to choose between these and the ringmat feet. The recommended combination is for domes to be placed on top of ringmat feet and this yields by far the best results on electronic items - however on turntables we find that just the cork domes alone sound best - this finding may well differ on non-suspended decks. Last in the chain are statfeet - our own impressions of these are that they are the least significant and do not always work - you get a free one to try with the statfeet so you can decide for yourself.
